Prepare tools as below:
Multimeter,hair dryer
Under the condition of continuous and normal laser shot from the handpiece for 1 minute,if the “Temp” on screen remains more than 10℃ for a long time, then the device prompts E08.
1. We touch the head of handpiece with hands and feel temperature is getting higher and higher, and the “Temp” value on the screen is increasing slowly.
We need to check the J6 socket of the mainboard. The left is negative and the right is positive. The connecting plug with the J6 socket, the red line is "+", and the black line is "-"(see two diagrams as below).
First, use a multimeter to measure the voltage of the two pins of J6 on the mainboard. If the voltage cannot reach 5V and D28 is always dark(see diagram as below),the mainboard need to be replaced in time.
If the voltage can reach 5V, and D28 light can be brightly(see diagram as below), the power supply for TEC is OK.
Second,we need to check the supply power lines for the TEC from the “J6” plug to the socket of handpiece. The red line of “J6” plug should connect the pin namely “TEC power supply +”;The black line of “J6” plug should connect the pin namely “TEC power supply -”.See two diagrams as below(see two diagrams as below).
Third, We need to check the supply power lines for the TEC from the plug of handpiece to the inner of handpiece. The red line namely “TEC +” should connect the pin namely “TEC power supply +”;The black line namely “TEC -” should connect the pin namely “TEC power supply -”(See two diagrams as below).
If the power supply lines for TEC is OK,replace the TEC in time.
If customers have another handpiece,we can judge the fault quickly with the new handpiece.
2. We touch the head of handpiece with hands and can feel cold.
“Temp” on screen remains more than 10℃ for a long time, then the device prompts E08.
We can heat the head of handpiece with hair dryer,if the “Temp” increase slowly,we can testify the temperature sensor testing the head of handpiece works on a normal way.
If the “Temp” increase a little or have no change,Disassemble the handle, first observe whether there is a virtual connection between the temperature sensor and the circuit board (the virtual connection needs to be re-soldered),check connection of the two data lines from the P1 plug to the handpiece plug with the multimeter.
we can check connection of the two data lines from the P5 plug of the mainboard to the handpiece socket with the multimeter.
After the temperature sensor is OK,we need to testify the connecting lines of power supply for the TEC.In my opinion, most of time the screen prompt the E08 when the “Temp” remains more than 10,the problem is from the connecting lines of power supply for the TEC,especially the connecting lines from the handpiece plug to the inner of handpiece.
If the connecting lines of power supply for TEC is OK,we consider to replace a new TEC.
